2. National Aluminium Co. Ltd.

Another public sector enterprise established in 1981, by the Government of India under the Ministry of Mines, NALCO is based in Orissa. It is also one of the top 10 mining companies in India, which runs a Bauxite Mine as well as an Alumina Refinery at Damanjodi in Koraput district and an Aluminium Smelter and 1200 MW Captive Power Plant at Angul.
