The company began operations in 1984 as Hero Honda, but a merger between Hero Cycles of India and Honda Motors of Japan soon followed, and after the split in 2010, Hero Cycles and Honda Motors became competitors. Hero MotoCorp’s popular two-wheelers include the Splendor, Glamour, CBZ, Achiever, Karizma, Hunk, Passion, and CB series two-wheelers. The Pleasure and Maestro scooters were also designed by the company.

Bajaj Auto India

With a fairly varied product line, Baja Auto India makes electric scooters, auto-rickshaws, and bikes. Jamanlal Bajaj created it in the year 1945 & today it is one of the best bike manufacturing companies in India. When the business first began, it sold imported two-wheelers in India. Soon after, they received a government licence to produce two- and three-wheeled vehicles in India.

One of the top bike manufacturing companies in India right now is TVS Motor India. They offer a wide variety of items for numerous target markets. Thirukkurungudi Vengaram Sundram Iyengar established TVS in 1978. In the past, they produced exhaust systems, brakes, and other vehicle components. The first plant for the production of mopeds was established in Hosur.

Additionally, TVS and Suzuki collaborated for a year to share technology and develop two-wheelers exclusively for the Indian market, but they split into 200. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), which sells more than two lac units of the Activa alone per month, is 2nd largest & one of the top bike manufacturing companies in India. Together with Kinetic Engineering Limited, Honda controlled the Indian two-wheeler market in the 1980s. Before Mahindra Motors acquired Kinetic, both businesses collaborated between 1984 and 1998. The most popular two-wheeler in India is the Honda Active, which has been produced there since 2000. Gurgaon, Haryana, India is home to a Suzuki manufacturing factory. Suzuki attempted to participate in the commuter bike market, just like the other Japanese brands, but they also fell short.
